Captain John Ingersoll (1850- 1937) and his grandson, John Ingersoll Robertson (1911- ).  Capt. John was the son of Anson and Eunice (Benson) Ingersoll, lived on Grand Manan all his life.  He was captain of the first and second Grand Manan ferries- the "SS Flushing" and the "SS Aurora", later remaned "SS Grand Manan", from 1884 to 1914.
