Important Note
When using ANY census record, you MUST remember to use it as a guide and not as being 100% correct. Census records are known to have many errors in them. They are subject to many problems. Some include: Who gave the information in the family (the head of the family or the 4th child because the father and mother were in the fields), was the census taker on the last family of the day and they were tired, the census taker spelled the names the way he thought they sounded, nicknames were given instead of given names, etc, etc. It is always a good idea to use 2 or three different census records to cross check. It is also a good idea to back up the information with birth and death records to assure that the information on the census is correct.
